ShufflePeople on Woome - Video Chat

Woome's ShufflePeople is one of the new online video chatting services with an increasing popularity. ShufflePeople is a random video chatting service that was added to the many services that Woome offers. Think of ShufflePeople as another version of Chatroulette. But there is more to Woome than just ShufflePeople. The first part of this post is bout Woome and then I share my experience using ShufflePeople I have added screenshots of all the people I chatted with and some of those who skipped me.

Woome is one of the most fascinating video chatting applications available today on the internet. It provides an amazing way to communicate with thousands of people all around the world, live on webcam.

One of the best things about Woome is that you don't have to fill out a lengthy profile page in order to use the service. At the same time, if you are looking for more connectivity ShufflePeople provides social features such as Facebook Connect which means you can meet a random stranger and after you strike a connection move on to add that person to your social network and easily keep in touch with him or her. Who knows maybe this first random meeting is the start of a long friendship.

My first experience with ShufflePeople

The last time I tried using ShufflePeople there were over 4000 other users online at the same time. I did not turn my camera on and I was hoping to find someone who would still want to chat with me without seeing me but it just wasn't happening. The site just kept Shuffliing people at a really scary rate, some of them also had their web cam turned off in which case I still tried to start a conversation. In the end not a single person replied to me. Granted I only tried text chat, it seems everybody is looking for cam2cam chat or at least voice chat. An interesting fact is that even when your own video camera is not on you can still see the strangers you are being paired with. And I can tell you that every single one of the people I saw were male hopefully only one was inappropriately broadcasting the others however for the most part seemed like normal guys I wouldn't mind starting a conversation with. If only I wasn't camera shy!

The initial process of finding you that first person might take some time but once it has started it will keep going on really fast as it has to keep up with the rate at which your strangers are hitting the Next button on you.

My second experience using ShufflePeople

One of the things I did was turn my webcam one hoping that it would give me a chance to chat with someone. Surely enough it work but the image I was sending out was apparently not clear at all and most people just gave up on me. I still managed to chat with a guy from the UK. I then decided to go without my camera again and be persistent and I did end up finding another camera-less person who chatted with me for a while and one with a cam with whom I had a good conversation going until I inadvertently hit the back button and lost him.

I had this crazy idea of making this post even longer by adding the pictures of the people I saw while on ShufflePeople. Then I was booted in a way, as it kicked me out of the video chat shuffling.

Of all these people can you guess: The 4 people I actually chatted with? The 1 guy who told me he's married? The 1 kid who said he just turned 18 and what he wanted me to show him? The 1 guy who said he was staying in a hotel room in the UK?

On second thought maybe I was misbehavin' after all...
